Latest News as of August 30, 1996
OK, as of August 28, 1996 IBM and Netscape announced that they will be releasing an OS/2 Version of Netscape V. 2.02 in the last part of September. A lot of people are wondering were this leaves them with WebExplorer Organizer. So I want to let all registered and unregistered users know what our game plan is.
First, all development on WebExplorer Organizer will be temporarily put on hold to allow us to see what happens with the OS/2 version of Netscape, also so we can work on our other project and we can do some research on Netscape and its Plug-In API. We have already done some research on the way Netscape handles bookmarks and to be honest it is good, but it is not as easy as possible to use. We will be seriously looking at renaming WebExplorer Organizer and re-developing it to work with both WebExplorer and Netscape. This will be a free upgrade to all registered users of WebExplorer Organizer.
Please, do not think that we are going to abandon our software. This is not the case at all! We will work as hard as possible to enhance both WebExplorer and Netscape. Thank you for all of you support.
We are currently working on a set of three utilities that will be packaged as one executable. I do not want to say to much on this, but it will make using the WPS and the Internet a little easier. We will make a formal release annoucement when it is ready.
The Complete OS/2 Links Page!
This is a new section to our WebPage. What we are trying to do here is give all OS/2 using a one-stop, easy-to-use place to find almost anything they want on the Web that deals with OS/2.
